Intimate Summer Telluride Colorado Wedding | Rebecca + Steve

Telluride Wedding Photographer

Rebecca and Steve had one of the most amazing wedding days I have ever had the privilege to document and be a part of. The amount of love that surrounded them could be felt all day in the special moments that took place through out their wedding day. Being a destination wedding photographer I get to travel and be a part of peoples day in such an intimate way and I love being able to get to know their families and friends. Rebecca and Steve's families welcomed me with open arms and I loved getting to know each and every person I met! Rebecca's mother Darla is one of those amazing people I got the privilege of meeting and getting to know over their wedding weekend. Darla is such an amazing person, mother, and florist, she made her daughters bouquet and I love that she put mint into it as the final touches grown from her own garden! Its those little details that make weddings so special and having something made from home with such care and thought was such a great touch to make those little details even more special! Getting married in your hometown where you grew up is an amazing way to bring all those that you love to a place that you love and have so many memories to share. Having their ceremony in the most amazing mountain chapel, the Alpine Chapel,  was such a perfect place for Rebecca and Steve to get married and the personal and family ties that the church holds for their family was something truly special to learn about and be a part of. What was even more special was that after the ceremony officiated by the most amazing officiant ever, Tree Cooper (I may be bias as he married me and my husband as well), we were able to go into the courthouse where Rebecca's father Scott Erickson was a County Court Judge at the San Miguel County Court House and sign their marriage license on his bench. Rebecca's Father was not able to be there in person, as he is no longer here with us, but I believe that he was there in spirit through out her wedding day and when she stood in the hallways reminiscing about their memories together and what an amazing person he was. It was such an amazing way to honor him to be a part of her wedding day as a Father, Husband, and an amazing man of the community. We finished our time in the courthouse soaking in the love walking the halls and I loved hearing all of the amazing stories and memories Rebecca had growing up here. We rode the Gondola to their bridal portraits and Reception at the Tomboy Tavern and got some amazing views of Wilson Peak, which happens to be both mine and Rebecca's favorite peak! This is one of the best parts of being a Telluride Wedding Photographer, walking down main street for portraits, gondola rides to receptions, amazing mountain views everywhere you look and of course the most amazing couples who get married here! I spent the night documenting the celebration and toasting to this amazing couple and hearing some of the most heartfelt toasts I have ever heard! Yall these two have some seriously amazing people in their lives and I felt so much love from everyone who attended their wedding in Telluride Colorado!

Thank you Rebecca and Steve for having me document such a special time in your lives. It was such an honor and blessing to meet you both and your families and be around so much love that was poured into you both through out your wedding! I am a better person knowing you both and am so excited to see you grow as husband and wife in your adventures life brings!
